2 hours of gardening. Didnt bother with the heartrate monitor. Didnt bother with the GPS either as my garden is very small.

An easy flattish 4 miles, taking it easy before Wardle tomorrow.
19.5 mlles on hilly roads (2700 ft). Ran attempting to stick to a heartrate, trouble is i dont know my max HR for certain yet so was taking a guess at aiming to keep it near 160bpm. Perhaps I would have ran faster lap times if i had simply ran hard throughout rather than holding the heartrate back when going uphill and struggling at times to keep it high enough on the downhills.
It's all about data gathering at the moment though, once I know how high a pulse i can maintain for any given time/distance I should hopefully be training more efficiently. (and resting properly on the easy days)
Bike. 48 hilly and windy miles. All ridden on the front.
My first ever road race and 10km this morning!!
Really hot day and was parched from about 4 miles - no water stations so soldiered on! Struggled from this point - legs still heavy.
Was under pressure for a sub 50 but felt sub 55 was more like it - no speed in the legs with all this hill running!
Anyway - played cat and mouse with some litter lout bloke (he tossed his empty drink thingy when he finished it in a hedgerow) ended up we were neck and neck up the last hill - he managed to push his way past - not the first time he'd nudged me either then the final lap of the field i had my support crew bellowing which really helped so this bloke and I had a sprint finish and I'm please to say I won that battle!! got a time of 47:27 and was 14th lady overall!!
Still Grinning![]()
