No I'd rather have it by finishing second .

I wonder how it would work mid to back end of the race. at this point most runners are fast walking/walk-running. therefore taking much longer to go round. if you run to the bottom and walk steadily up you might take a few places IF you had some strength in your legs. might suit a slow runner who was a good climber?

Hmm. I could try it then, as a genuine tailender. On the other hand, I probably won't; the 'good climber' bit puts me off...

BTW, anyone wanting to try something really 'quixotic' should enter the Windmills Whizz.

    I like that, Don Quixote.

The mere thought of dropping into Grindslow Clough and then looking up at Ringing Roger after well over 3 hours running turns my blood cold.

Any news on the conditions between Noe and Ringing R? Last time I was up there it was easier through the Wool Packs than trudging thru the deep slush in the gruff(ello). But that was 10 days ago.....

Don't suppose you want to wait for me and show me which way to go?!

Does anyone know if Coopers Campsite by the Nags is open atm? Planned to stay there at the weekend and understand they're open all year but just wanted to be sure. Thanks
