    Re: three peaks

Tough day out today - was going OK till the descent from Ingleboro which always gets me. I think I walked further than I ran. IanDarkPeaker just ran off, and had a battle to keep Flatfoot just behind - another half a mile and he would have got me. Was hoping for 4.30, but will have to be happy with 4.36 - if only I was 16 yrs younger!!

I was stood just in front of the Crown cracking my whip. That's why you ran past so quick.

Well done everyone who took part today. There were so many outstanding performances and it was great to meet loads of faces behind the forums. I take my cycling helmet off to you all.

Even got to bike down a track that your not normally allowed to...well it was a special occasion. (That 3ft drop through the wall near the finish was a bit of a surprise though )

Thanks Milli for putting up with the incessant ringing and doing a sterling job handing out a seemingly endless supply of jelly babies. Hope you've manged to thaw out!

Had a great day out and I hope your all basking in the glory of your performances or maybe just basking in a hot bath

Yes Clodhopper I did hear the phone. I thought you had an iPod and some speakers setup to keep everyone entertained..I was thinking..now that's a team player

I've just spent ages writing a long summary of the day for me but the message was lost in the ether somewhere as it was obviously too long. so i'll just put my time and declare that i am very pleased and actually astounded by it! Everthing just seemed to fall into place today -

Well done everybody. Sounds like it was pretty attritional in the heat, lots of cramp, but some really good times. And well done Ds, terrific stuff, good prep for the Dragons Back finale, you will be cruising!! Mind you, forgot to tell you about the bit with tussocks the size of houses

I enjoyed the cowbell on Inglegit - thanks for that. Nice to get a pb by 25 mins too, knackered but home safe in 3:53.

Would have been quicker but got stitch at Sulber Nick - very frustrating to have to walk it off! No cramp though - which was a relief.

Well done to all that ran, and thanks to the organisers - great show!

    Re: three peaks

What a brilliant day!! Did 4:49. I'm happy with it as my first attempt, but I did expect better from myself. Felt OK doing the ascents (even Whernside) but my quads were screaming on the descents.

Big thanks to the organisers, marshals and spectators for the support on the way around. I'll be back

Thanks Martin and thanks for the help and encouragement on those last 'long' miles on the run in. Well done to you for a superb time and to all the other forumites.

Many thanks to the organisers too.

    Cheers, Ali.
