.....just out interest, what distance/climbing did other people record today. My Garmin gave me 20.5 miles and 4,264ft and looking at the route I seem to have been reasonably close to optimum (it was my third time and I live within spitting distance). Dark Peak website claims : "21miles, 4,500 feet of climb - at least!"

Therein lies the rub with this modern technology it becomes about the machine/gizmo and not about the run
