I'm planning a run on Lickey Hills to break up my journey from Leeds to Cardiff next month (actually staying the night in Bromsgrove) - any hints/tips/route maps?

    cheers

Well done on the win - couldn't make it out, as expected. Just as well really, as a lovely black looking blister fell off my foot on my mile or two jog with the dog this morning!

I assume that the rest of the series are in daylight? I'll have to get some Rescue Ale at the next one instead

I put my application for DPFR in last week...can't wait to turn out for the rest of these! Assuming I'm not blackballed of course...

By which I mean rejected. Not a medical condition brought on by wearing shorts that are too loose.

Although I'm sure somebody could assure me that Albmaleaf would sort it...

Hi Paul, Yes it should be finished in day light but I might just stick my torch in just incase. Last year we had a runner miss the turn off, he turned up but it was getting dark by that point.

Beer will be waiting for you

Just turn up any way. as long as you can navigate and can look after yourself.(we don't go home until all runners are back).

Do you where the next race is?

Todays training was a recovery run about 4 miles at an easy pace.

Strines Pub isn't it, on the 12th?

Yep, I'm self-sufficient and able to navigate so I shouldn't be a problem for anybody

Been weighing up whether or not to join for about a year now, full details on the blog...

Four sets of 5 minute intervals. 1 minute rest between each. On the flat.

    Re: Today's Training

Gentle steady state road run to ease an aching achillies.

    Distance - 8.2 miles
    Time - 1hr 01 mins
    Elevation gain - approx 600ft
Conditions - light drizzle - pleasant with the cooling affect.

Nearly got knocked over by a startled deer

Walking/jogging up and down stairs at work - inspired by the current Fell Runner Mag.
PS Used Garmin 405 and recorded 126ft and only 73yds - no drizzle to speak of.
