    Re: Todays Injuries

    Knee injury!
Noticed a week ago at FLM.
Very little running since then so thought it would heal.

However running up a reasonable hill yesterday (road) started to get quite an acute shotting type pain which felt like it was just on the inside / bottom of my knee cap!
Carried on and although it was still there didn't get any worse or as bad again!

    Any ideas???

Oh and chest is sore this morning don't think its a heart attack but pretty painfull. Think I've pulled some muscles in my upper chest cavity or summit!

You know they say knowledge is power and all that?

wikipedia has just scared me slightly

Got a pain in the leg, inside the leg really to the right of the shin but not in the calf muscle. I had it massage yesterday and it's really painful to touch my Fitness dude thinks it may be CCS (chronic compartment syndrome??)

Ran 3 miles last night and it was sore so had a hot bath, massaged it, put bruphen on then RICE'd all night (to the point of ice burns almost!!)

Trying to run this morning as it feels OK at the minute?

Anyway - just checked tinterweb and it shows this

Seriously though looks like you have been doing a fair bit recently, lots of training and Anni Waltz? Just take it easy for a bit, it should settle down

has you leg swollen up at all???

If it is might be CS.
If not could be arrghhh whats the name of that other thing....stress fracture.....eeek

Or could just shin splints. Have you tried ibuprofen Gel??

I see no one gives a s**t about my heart attach comment!

Depends how bad you've spraned it, RICE it, see how it goes.

Does it feel sore if you leave it in one position too long?

I wouldn't try and run off a sprained ankle, a bad sprain can be worse than a break, you can end up doing serious ligament damaga.
