65 miles for me today. I feel like i've been beaten up. The roads in this country are an absolute disgrace, almost third world..... I wish I was still in Majorca

Well, I am still in Majorca, just... tomorrow is the last day... and todays ride resembled the rides at home: strong wnds, pooring rain, flooded roads

Bit hardcore, think we were the only 5 cyclists out on the roads this morning But I got done what I wanted done in some ways...

It cleared up while we were watching Tour of Flanders... great attack and ride from Cancellara... but I had expected and wished Boonen had won... Ah well! Paris-Roubaix next...

Sounds hell. You really feel cheated when you get English weather abroad. I went to the south of Spain in Feb' for warm weather training and just got weather training. Even had to go and and buy full finger gloves and over shoes, it was that bad. Not to mention the artificial tan I had to purchase to slap on my legs lol! Only good thing is that you can up the training a tad cos you're not working.

Still it 'll toughen you up for that day you get a race in the crap
    Happy days

52miles for me yesterday in that headwind. Took in some of the hard climbs of the white peak. The drag up to Crich never gets any easier from Ambergate then the drag from the bridge up to Wirksworth just about wipes you out.
A nice run back though and I managed a good climb up to Tansley. Circled back around to Crich Stand and then hurtled back down again. Easily way over 45mph comin down there.
Felt good and met a couple of bikies who I dragged back to Heanor. They didnt pull on the front once.

It was a good Tour of Flanders and yes Hann I dearly wanted Boonen to win but Cancellara just was to strong on that climb.

Funny though Boonen distanced himself from Cancellara on one of the earlier climbs but maybe Fabian was bluffing. Armstrong looked strong.

Tour Of the Basque Country on now
To much cycling to bloody train.

Hmm I wouldnt mind one of those cycling weeks.

And Rodders , the roads are bad down here as well, not good

Looking forward to Paris-Roubaix next week. I can relate well to the conditions as the road down from the horseshoe pass into Trevor is very akin to the cobbles and cart tracks ! :rolleyes

Lance had his best ever finish at Flanders. Looking strong after being ill a couple of weeks ago.
