    Love, We're Going Home Now

    Love, we're going home now,
Where the vines clamber over the trellis:
Even before you, the summer will arrive,
On its honeysuckle feet, in your bedroom.

Our nomadic kisses wandered over all the world:
    Armenia, dollop of disinterred honey:
Ceylon, green dove: and the YangTse with its old
Old patience, dividing the day from the night.

And now, dearest, we return, across the crackling sea
Like two blind birds to their wall,
To their nest in a distant spring:

Because love cannot always fly without resting,
Our lives return to the wall, to the rocks of the sea:
Our kisses head back home where they belong
Aw.............sigh....just what the doctor ordered thank you! glad to see folk back on here, stef hope you are OK and mossy good to have you back around again!...

    thank the lawd for neruda!!!!!!!....

    sigh.............................................. ................

    Love Sonnet
    Pablo Neruda

I do not love you as if you were a salt rose, or topaz
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that never blooms
    but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
    I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
So I love you because I know no other way

than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.

A weary old Tup with aching legs
Skipped Tuesday training and scoffed Easter eggs
After a long day at work
Hill run training he did shirk
To perch on his bum and drink beer from kegs

My goodness. What a great day on the thread. There was Freckle worring about its demise and then she, Hes, and Heracles all come up with some absolutely fantastic lines. An absolute delight to read.

    Passion dreams.

If only you could read my mind,
You would see how much you touch me,
I would be an open book if only you would ask,
It's all i can do to restrain myself,
To ply you with sonnets and soliloquies,
My nights are full of lucid dreams,
    Your beautiful soul enchanting me,
I feel 18 again glad to be alive,
    If only you knew.

I'm doing just fine and dandy thanks. I've sadly got little time for much writing at the moment as I'm busy decorating. But I'm enjoying everyone's great poems.
