hi, do you still need some support, i'd like to do a couple of legs, 1st & 4th or 5th.
i'm planning a pbr for 4th june 7 pm llanberis start. i should of recce'd most of it by your round so hope to know where i'm going.
i'm in wales tomorrow to recce the 1st section.
my friend ant has offered to help on a previous post, he tracked the 2nd leg on his gps last week so he'd be very handy for at least leg 2. i hope to get him on 2 & 4.

Thanks everyone for offers of support, the response has been fantastic. I now have enough support with two people per leg. Training has gone OK and Caz, I did have day out in Presellis last Sunday and covered about 20 miles starting Llangolman and heading east before cutting up to the end of the main preselli ridge (excellent running) and then running south along B4329 into Clarbeston Road where I was staying. Good but a little too much road!!
Now involved in organising all the logistics around the PBR before a final recce over the Glyders and carnedds on Saturday.

Hi Simon. Sorry to have missed you. Yes the Preseli ridge is nice, but there's loads of lovely running going north towards Newport Pembs and then looping back round. When going that way there's only about 1/2 mile of road to go on if that.

Do you still need supporters? I could pop up after supporting RobW in the morning. I could be up there for Saturday afternoon/evening if you want. I'm planning my attempt on the 5th June now so if you know/have any spare supporters you might have lurking in youre pockets, then please pass them on.

    Ant

Thanks so much Ant. I will for ever cherish your support and especially the vocal support seeing me through the last mile at blistering pace in blistering heat. It seemed at the quarries that it was'nt going to happen but to make up 15 mins ascending Cnicht was a bolt from the blue. A truly memorable occasion and thanks so much to you and Jon, kate and Shane for dragging me through that last leg.

That's seriously impressive. I was at the bottom end of Snowdonia at the time - got 17 hours into the Meirionnydd .

    PBR 21/22 May - 3 more!

This just in from Jonathan Whitehead:

Was down in Wales helping 3 folk on Paddy Buckley Round - all 3 got round in just over 23 hrs. Jason Hubert, Olly Stephenson and Jamie Thin. 2 other starters had to drop out - injury and heat stress/illness.

    Flippin eck and well done

Thanks Rob, sorry you didnt make it but it was seriously hot. I did first 12 hours in evening and through the night so didnt suffer too much until carnedds. After that it was awful. You might remeber running past me with David W on his 50 at 50 on the day I did a BG in 2008? When are you thinking of another go at the MR?
