Having run around the full route in monsoon conditions a mere two weeks ago, the ground conditions are now extremely dry and firm. Its almost unbelievablely dry in fact! I went over Plover Hill yesterday (the arse end of Pen y Ghent), which is a candidate for one of the boggiest places on earth, and although it could 'take a stud', it was as dry as I've ever seen it with the normally thigh deep bogs barely reaching my calves![]()
