At work atm in cycling gear, with the roadbike, ready to leave early to ride to the start of our chaingang...

TT would involve riding back home, get TT bike in the car and drive 45 minutes to start of TT...

I am on a TT roll atm, so quite fancy testing on a sporting course, rather than a flat... it will only be training... hmmmmm...

Mind, first RR on 9 May and first crit EVER on 16 May, so chaingang may be better training... hmmmmmm...
My personal preference would be the TT, however given your crit and RR coming up the chain gang may be a better bet, also theough you look to treat the TT as training its still a race and easy to get caught up in, you may be better cutting back the racing

Well, after a brief conflab with my secret training advisor, I have decided to do the TT. This will be better training for me... I am made to ride it one gear bigger than I would normally and am not allowed to feel remotely comfortable at any time... so Toff, yes, it WILL hurt! Most likely more than the chaingang, as with the way the legs are feeling I would probably get spat out of the back fairly soon...

    Yep

And yes, the ride DID hurt... it was short and sweet and painful... breezy and quite cold,so not ideal conditions with sore legs as well but I am sure it served its purpose

Lovely evening light over Pen-y-fanmade well up for the agony!

You can sort your legs out. There are simple massage techniques Hann that you can do yourself which work amazingly well. Its surprising what a difference it makes.
Also before your Crit, keep your legs raised the night before and no excess walking.
You never see a Pro walking about

And before anyone edits the keeep your legs rasied quote im deadly serious.
The rest and recovery side of cycling is as important as the training.
    Good luck

Planning wall to wall training really, not sure if there will be any racing......

If you get the bike sorted and are off early next week drop me a line if you fancy a good ride out.
