    Another Eurosport TV training session.
Twirled the Kettler for the last 55km somewhere in the Fleche-Wallonne peleton. Cadel Evans, easing through on the final climb at Huy, was a class too good for all of us. It would have been 60km but the snooker went on too long.

Old bike fixed and mobile. Just done an hour and managed 14.7 mile.

When you elite folks are quoting 20+mph are you in groups on long straight flat roads? Or am I just fat, over weight and useless?

Mine had 1200 feet of ascent and cross breeze all the way

I am on my own on undulating to hilly roads... I am in the Black Mountains, so we don't do flat around here

When I am in a group and on the flat I go a tad faster

But... I am training for cycle racing this season, so it is all I do... 5-6 times a week I am out on my bike, either training or racing...

EXCELLENT 1.5 hours on the TT bike, doing efforts. Went better than last week... It is strange but I do feel stronger every day at the moment, noticeably so!

    It is VERY satisfying

I just LOVE riding a bike

Did the Manchester 100 a couple of years ago and averaged over 19mph in a group and on a flattish route.
Never done that round these hilly parts mate, reckon your doing ok for a fat, over weight useless bloke
Fat and overweight, is that not the same thing?
One less thing wrong with you

Thanks Ratfink, yes, I do have an easy week, followed by 3 hard weeks etc etc etc

Had an easy week when I came back from Majorca, now on week 2 of the hard weeks... one more hard week next week, then an easy week, culimnating in my first road race of the season. Only been TT-ing so far...
