Give over Roy, what did you do ?? 3.55 I'm guessing. Good to see you.

Great picture Ady, sorry I didn't spot you !

What a great atmosphere & a fantastic day out. The spectators were fantastic, dishing out Jelly Babies & drinks. Big, big thanks to the chap (& his crew) at the top of Whernside who gave my brother-in-law some water, Jelly Babies & a motivational talk !

I wish, terrible personal performance in 4:45. Didn't even see you go by. Still a grand day out, though.

Do you think you set off too fast, or did the heat get you ? It was warm !

Well I cracked the 4 hour hour barrier Phew 3.54.58 Really hot out there and glad of three litres of Nuun.

Ran round a fair bit with a miserable sod who kept swearing at every one, in fact he was down right Anti social;o)
Well done Paul thanks for helping me get going after my fall and congrats on your sub 4 hours

Well organised again but I think this one for me is finally put to bed.

    Re: Three Peaks 2010.

Searched in vain for the salesmeister at the start (and middle and finish) bought a very nice Inov hat so he would recognise me

Started well, water bottle fell out of my bag after first 200 yards stopped to get it an various runners cannoned into me (sorry if that was you) one knocked my arm breaking the screen of my expensive Geonaute GPS watch (goodness knows how I have dropped it enough) so I had a list of times on my arm and nothing to mark them off. Dumped the bottle with the three peaks cafe staff and rushed up PenyGhent a bit fast looking for my main Keighley rival (who was behind me and retired injured - tough luck Dick)) and pottered on.

Jogging along the road section towards Ribblehead I was accosted by what can only described as this wizened blond inane clown who introduced himself as Ian Darkpratt and who didn't bloody shut up with gibberish over the next 12 miles, forum this forum that, did PenyGhent in 59 minutes just so I didn't blow, natter natter natter etc and he was so bloody cheerful. It got to the point every time I dropped back 30 seconds or so just to give me ears a rest from the inane prattle, he would slow down so I caught up. Finally with too miles to go I got with with a well aimed rock over 60ft to the back of the head (the hand grenade throwing competition I took part in last week at my brothers medal parade was very helpful). Unfortunately the rock didn't explode and he got up and begged I run with him incase he got concussion, then immediately buggered off , being very careful to keep out of his way I finished 41 seconds or so behind him.

I caught up with Brett at the finish and explained who had accosted me, and Brett said - "I thought he was a really good runner - can't be that bloody good if you only finished just behind him".

Thank you you to all the organisers and marshalls and if I circulate his picture can you cage him before the start next time.

Good run and a PB, though feeling very "gel" sick at the end.

    Cheers Ian

What a fantastic day! 20 mins inside last year's time and far more relaxed. Not as hot as feared, no cramps up Ingleborough and not overtaken by floods of people on way down. What's not to like??! There was a woman on top of Ingleborough who looked in serious trouble with cramp. Hope she made it down ok...

Well done all you 3 Peaker's and congrats to IDP and Antisally on their respective times, Antisally's description of Ian made me laugh, he's certainly a moral booster but no fun for a grumpy old sod
