    Re: Today's poet

Enjoying some music from Faithless whilst I work. Poetry to a driving beat:

    We Come 1

All the subtle flavors of my life
    Are become bitter seeds
    And poisoned leaves
    Without you

    You represent what's true
I drain the color from the sky
    And turn blue
    Without you

    These arms lack a purpose
    Flapping like a humming-bird
    I'm nervous 'cause
    I'm the left eye
    You're the right

Would it not be madness to fight
    We come 1

In you the song which rights my wrongs
In you the fullness of living
    The power to begin again
    From right now, in you

    We come 1

    I'm unafraid
    Never never scared
    Worries washed
    Pressed air
    I am the left eye
    You're the right
Would it not be madness to fight

    We come 1

    Re: Today's poet

    Bombs
We think we're heroes, we think we're kings
We plan all kinds of fabulous things
Oh look how great we have become

Key in the door, the moment I've been longing for
Before my bag hit the floor
My adorable children rush up screaming for a kiss
And a story they're a gift to this world
    My only claim to glory
I surely never knew sweeter days
    Blows my mind like munitions
    I'm amazed

So much heaven, so much hell
So much love, so much pain
So much more than I thought this world could ever contain
So much war, so much soul
One mans loss, another mans gold
So much more than I thought this world can ever hold

We're just children, we're just dust
We are small and we are lost
And we're nothing, nothing at all

One bomb, the whole block gone
Can't find me children and dust covers the sun
Everywhere is noise, panic and confusion
But to some another fun day in Babylon
I'm gonna bury my wife and dig up my gun
My life is done so now I got to kill someone

So much heaven, so much hell
So much love, so much pain
So much more than I thought this world could ever contain
So much war, so much soul
    Moments lost, moments go
So much more than I thought this world could ever hold

So much more than I thought this world could ever hold
So much more than I thought this world could ever hold

So much heaven, so much hell
So much love, so much pain
So much more than I thought this world could ever contain
So much war, so much soul
    Moments lost, moments go
So much more than I thought this world could ever hold

Better stop now...typical of me, not on here for ages and when I am, nobody is around! :-)

Love it Hes....great tune and it's good to read the lyrics in poem format too.

    Re: Today's poet

Nothing wrong with a bit of solitude Hes x

    Solitude, Singing

    Being alone is knowing
That in in this solitary splendour
    Solitude, stark and staring,
    Solitude, singing a lullaby
    Solitude, singing a dirge
    Surrounded by so many sundry things;
    Things seen and unseen
    Factors known and unknown
Solitude singing softly, chanting without ranting
Solitude’s songs that sing of solemn things

    Silence singing golden songs
    Silence healing ancient wrongs
    If only silence could be
    More than a memory
    More than history
Silence can be more than words
Empty words echoing in an empty world
    Echoing in empty valleys
    Silence unspoken, unspoken, unbroken
    Transfixed by time.

    Temptation.

If your down with Lord Hades,
    He'll give you a Mercedes,
And all that you could ever need,
But you must pay the price,
    For all the things nice,
    And promise him your being,
So before you think i will play his games,
Think about eternity in tartarus in flames,
And is all the wealth worth your immortal soul.

That is fabulous. It is one song that reads as good poetry. Not all do by any means.

    Top stuff.

This is one of my favourites Hes. The music fits the verse really well

    Re: Today's poet

    Look up to the heavens
    those eyes Hades reddens
    will become clear and bright
    seeing stars and sunlight
and all that you could ever need
    mother nature gives without greed
    with no price to pay
    its yours night and day
    there's no need to think
from clear streams you can drink
and be cleansed to the core
find your peace on the moor
