Thread: Today's poet

    Loveleeeee night out there.......

    The gamble

    Hey listen!

    You and I sat
    On a May evening
    An impromptu seat
    Gazing at the pink
    Set upon a cacophony
    of nameless friends

    Amidst les verts
    With hope and love
    And in the minds eyes
    A cooker from e bay
    Blackcurrant embryos
    (courtesy of Lidl)
    And the hope
    The HOPE
    Of a future
    Of authentic(selves)

    No wonder the birds sing
They know more than we know
    Of flight

    To risk the fall
    Is to gain “life”

Gee thanks MG...i edited in between!...hope you are well, i am feeling knackered still from the keswick half marathon and unlikely to race till June I think, do you fancy Windy Gyle? 9 miles reasonable ascent (ie not as hideous as AW) your kind of race I reckon? I am really looking forward to getting stuck in again....)

Something about this that integrates loving, hope, and the simple things in life makes this a rather sublime joy.

    That's lovely Freckle.

But isn't it good having that bit of insider knowledge which means that it is far less of a gamble than others might imagine.

    Have a great day all.

    Hi Freckle,
I had a look and can't make Windy Gyle as I've already entered Staveley Stampede on the same day...closer to home too.
How did you get on at Keswick, did you enjoy it? Was it on road or off?
You're not braving big old Fairfield next Sat then?!
Glad you're looking forward to the Summer season. Summer? not sure about that...it's rather cold and grey
    Keep well xxx

    Calypso's Pain.

    Calypso calls to me,
    Three or four years alone,
    Lord Herakles must answer,
Let him without sin cast the first stone.

    By Herakles.
