On a more serious note, well done to everybody again tonight. I really love this race. Tonight it hurt alot, but perversely in a really good way. Great fun and a real test of threshold type running. Brilliant.![]()

Just seen Robs time, gone are the sandals and dress shirt -running shoes and vest 22.54 ! now that is fast
Thanks Richard, it seemed a harder run tonight than my first outing so I was surprised to be anywhere close to last times performance. Perhaps it was because I knew what was to come!
Congrats on a great run yourself, don't give up that prime position on the start line next time and you'll bag a PB for sure.
Thanks for your kind words about my vehicle - I do like it very much myself!
I'm not sure if I'll make the next one but will be back at some point soon.
Thanks Ian
I was amazed at your own run, given that you are injured with a trip to the physio in the pipeline, and you weren't feeling at your fittest either last night. Add in to that the fact you are running at Burbage tonight...A running machine!![]()
First Trunce of the year last night. In fact, first "quick" race since, errm, the last Trunce in 2009! Still managed not to make too much of a mess of it and nipped in sub 30mins.
As ever great to catch up and meet some new faces - SimGreen78 for one. Did see you in your cycling jersey RichardAThackeray but didn't say hello as you were behind me!![]()
Just be aware people, next Trunce is in 2 weeks time. This is to avoid a bank holiday and make sure the last one in September has enough day light. All others are at 3 week spacings.
Rob Littles time of 22:54, without sandals, is a new course record, previously 23:03 by Stuart Bond.
Sorry, 'Double-Posted'

Well, I do think I was the only competitor running in one anyway, even allowing for it being my Club jersey.
Mindst you, I was behind a lot of people
I realised this when the dates were announced earlier in the year.
I've been lucky with races 1 - 3, as I've been on earlys, or days-off.
Until race 7 (I think?) I'm rostered to lates - have to try & organise some crafty shift-swaps
Digressing
It was a good turn out by the Senior Ladies yesterday, I make it 38 on the results sheet.
They're proving that they're almost as daft as we are
<hides behind settee waiting the 'fall-out' from that statement>![]()

Could be a parking problem on the Trunce 5 - 14th June (and possibly for the 2 after that as well). Just received an email from Oxspring Parish council saying :-
"I am writing to notify you that construction work to repair the Culvert beneath Oxspring playingfield is due to start on the 14th June, and will continue for approximately 2 months.
During this time parts of the field will be out of bounds, and access onto the field with cars may not be possible at all.
The start date may slip by a week or so depending on supplier lead times, this will be confirmed in the next couple of weeks.
I am aware that there is a race on the 14th and will therefore email you as soon as the start date is definate.
I expect the car park to be useable but cannot gaurantee this.
I apologise for any inconverience this may cause."
To aleviate potential problems could you please try to limit the number of vehicles used.
Thanks for your cooperation. Andy
