Curious about the route over Norber - lot's of clints, grykes and walls on the top there - rest of it should be straightforward.

As for the Austwick Amble route, although I haven't run the race itself my half guessed version of the route includes a shed load of limestone slabs to cross in the outward half; the route back though is really fast and fun running.

Another warm 'un!! Nice course until Crummack, especially given there is a great route back over the fields. I got Worswicked before the drop down to Crummack and failed to make ground up on him and Mr Ballantine who were neck and neck on the road race section. Just scrapped a top 20 with a 58:40 somthing I think, was made to sprint from the bottom of Townhead lane to the line with a Clayton runner in hot pursuit so was very pleased to see the finish funnel. Grand day out with an inspired start/finish line right outside the pub which was chocka after the race unfortunately.

...enjoyed that!! A cracker of a race which I've neve done before. I've always been glued to the Punch and Judy and thought the final bit on the road looked like a killer! Well, it was, I thought the finish the finish line would never come! Luckily, my mum and dad had got a drink in for me before the rush. The Punch and Judy man was in fine fettle-he told a man off (who had just finished the race) as his daughter kept wandering round the back of the stand and saying"there's a man there!" Bloody hilarious! The P&J man said in his Punch voice"come on now daddy, keep the girl on your knee under control, there's a good daddy...." Nearly as good as the run!!
