Planning this one for next weekend seeing as still uninjured! Where is start/finish and which route up/down for this one? Been up many times but unsure of race route. Cheers.

Start in same field as 3 ppp's, then up walkers route (right hand side of PYG) have a look ont map for down. Good race mate, enjoy

Thanks Merry, bit of scrambling on this one then.

Its a cracker.
Abit runnable most of the way up, then a good bit of scrambling through the crags to get to the top, and then fire down a rocky track, across some rapid but boggy ground, up a very short climb and then down another track, back onto the road and follow the way you came on the way out back to the field.

Broadly speaking by the looks of things the top route follows the 3 peaks walkers track a while longer, the bottom route follows the Pennine Way a while longerand the middle line follows 'my preferred route of descent from Pen y Ghent' which they really ought to be paying me some kind of a royalty on . I suspect they're all good and bad in their own ways though although I'd choose the middle
