You obviously don't have my good fortune, or perhaps good sense not to try and keep up with her

Was going well up until dow crag, then my legs kindly informed me that they were not happy with the situation and would like for me very much to lie down behind a rock and go to sleep,i then struggled very slowley into the finsh dreaming of cold beers....happy days

Oh what a day, beutiful day, great course, Bad race for me. Died going up Hardknot and never recovered, minced down to Mosedale, static up Little Stand, good line off to 3Shires though so passed Manhar and others even though practically staggering down. Jacked it in at the stone. Tough day, luckily the P20 worked but didnt drink enough. Next year though? Well done to those that got round.

Well yesterday was certainly an epic day out. Got of to a duff start when I rembered, whilst on the M60 that I'd left my fell shoes outside the shed - doh ! Took it steady to Harter, up & over Hard knott before the slog up Little stand. Managed to take a somewhat idiosyncratic (ie dodgy) line of the top which involved a scramble down the rock face followed by self chastisement of wondering why I'd taken such a duff line. Managed to bear a passing resemblance to a runner on the stretch from Dow to White pike-once a kind runner out for a trot approaching pointed out the runnable trod followed by another equally duff line on the ascent of Caw-knew I should have gone right of the boggy section rather than gaining/losing unnecessary height.

Hope Trimm Trabb isn't reading any of the above . Good to see a handful of forumites before the start, if not on the course & as ever Thank you to the marshalls especially on the latter checkpoints.

Funniest moment of the day (ask Fleeter) has got to be on the drive back stopping at a service station & yours truly going down with cramp & unable to get out of the car & being stood rooted to the spot not daring/wanting to move.

Like I said an epic day-even managed 2 laps of the local playing fields by way of a recovery run this morning in the rain-maybe I didn't try hard enough yesterday.

Jason - you must've been near me then, cos I also overtook Manhar going down to 3 Shires - were you the one sat down with the marshals?

Glorious day, glorious race - I just took it very steadily all the way round - consumed vast quantities of fluids (about 3 litres total I reckon) - enjoyed it as far as 3 Shire, got up to Swirl How 6 mins before cut-off, then staggered in on autopilot to Caw, then found some energy from somewhere on the final descent to beat 6 hrs, clocking 5:59 so v.pleased

good forumite turnout, with Trimm Trab, Manhar, Stolly, Marvin, Fleeter and Emmi

Many Thanks to all marshals etc for superbly organised race.

Really enjoyed this day out, though still much to learn about pacing, shoe choice, taking food on and choice of line (and the need to do some training). Took 4:37 which is a good half hour longer than my pre-race fantasising had allowed for.

Thanks to all the marshalls. How did they get 2 x 5 gallon drums of water to the top of White Pike?

That was tough. I'm sure they've added to Little Stand since last time. I was 15 minutes up on my previous best at Swirl How and that's how it finished at the end in 4.51. Good to see Mr and Mrs Amex, Manhar, Daz S and Emmi. Thanks, as ever to the marshals, especially those near the end who had some much needed water.

Well done Daz, Manhar, Deejay and everyone else. The climb up from Three Shires and the run in before Caw is a long drag, not sorry i missed it this year in my present state ;-)
