I was gonna get the mrs to meet me at Styhead and get a fresh bottle of water. Plus I can get a drink off her there too.
I take it this sort of thing goes on anyway?

Quite a few people tied bottles to the fence at the road crossing at the bottom of Dalehead last year. It's only a couple of miles along the Honister pass from the start by road, so it's easy to drop something off before the race.

I might do that and get the mrs to meet me at Styhead. The exercise will do her good.

You are assuming that we are going to have a wet May, June and July then are you ?

I bet there's not much water up there at the moment, and as for August , we've had some real scorching weather in the past.

The only guaranteed water is at the drinks station at Honister ~ but it might be too late by then Swoop. If you are a thirsty creature then take your Camelbak.

I would think most of the sources alwaysinjured pointed out would still be OK even in a very dry summer (if sprinkling tarn has dried up you may be in trouble )

I've only just come to this thread. Not being very familiar with The Lakes, are there any other vertigo sufferers that can advise on the route for this race? Can you cope with it? I'm not sure about the Corridor Route, and are there any other parts of the route that might be tricky for a fellow sufferer?

    Hi Marvin
I suffer vertigo too! I "tracked" you for most of the 3 peaks, nothing much worse than that on the Borrowdale - Scree descent off Scafell Pike can be a bit daunting, you can run back down the path if not up to it. Err..that's it really.....Great Gable to Green Gable I get a bit 'twitchy' but nothing too bad.
To be honest, if Im walking them I am dreadful, race day I'm fine.
