Daz, I can't lay my hands on a map but here's a link to Dave Tait's race notes from the Dark Peak website.
Those notes are ok you won't get lost using them.
Ok here's the route in live maps
The Ennerdale Horseshoe is a detailed look at some of the short cuts and where you can get water.
The Ennerdale Horseshoe Route its a rough idea of where the route goes, I've missed out the low level stuff at the start and finish as these are flagged.

A fence has been put up along part of the ruined wall near Silver Cove (the bit after the 90 degree bend, about NY126108 to 126112 or so). This is intended to keep the sheep out (apparently they keep coming over from the other side in bad weather and nibbling all the heather), and not runners; so there will be stiles put in. Numbskull that I am, I forgot to ask when. It might be worth a look to see before the race (it's only a small shortcut though, keeping to the left of the wall would be safe).
Anyone want to car share for this one from North Derbyshire/Cheshire there and back in the day on Saturday? PM me if you want a lift or have space

How does this race compare to duddon? Anyone else doing this after doing duddon last week? Cheers!
I think its harder, very rough ground from Red pike to Blackbeck tarn and the last two big climbs up Kirkfell and Pillar are hard work then its a l-o-n-g way to the finish and all runable (bit like the end of the Duddon only longer without a big climb at the end)
I'll be there
