    Ingleborough from Austwick

Just short of 12 miles and maybe 1,200 ft

    Route here

Austwick --> Norber --> Long Scar --> Nick Pot via some off piste limestone slabs and tussocks --> Ingleborough --> Little Ingleborough --> Gaping Gill --> Trow Gill --> Ingleborough Cave --> Long lane --> Thwaite Lane --> Austwick

Fabulous run.... but frigging hot and sweaty!

Good pics Stolly, I wish I had gone on a nice long run instead of watching England

    Hey there,

I'm not at work at the moment! Not been well. So I suppose you could call it skiving!
I've not been running lately so the Phoenix is out of the question!
Starting up again tomorrow all being well.
    How's things with you?
(apologies for using your thread to socialise on Stolly! )

    Re: Stolly Hill Runs 2010

Well, let me first of all start with the apology to Stolly for hijacking his thread for socialising. I'm sure he won't mind.

I was doing OK and on the up in respect of getting out on the hills at the weekends. I was in Ireland last week and took the opportunity to get out two evenings running. All god until on the second evenings run I hurt my ankle! Not sure what or how, but it hurts, can't run on it and it is swollen up below the ankle bone.

Self diagnosis using t'interweb says its a sprained ankle (GRADE 1), but going to doc's in 30 mins to get a 2nd opinion.

Other than that all's well. Take care of yourself and get well soon. Would put a big smiley on the end of my msg if I knew where to find them on this new style forum!!

    Re: Stolly Hill Runs 2010

    Langcliffe and Stainforth

Maybe 4.5 miles and 500 ft

Langcliffe ---> Lower and Upper Winskill above Stainforth Scar ---> Catrigg Force ---> Stainforth ---> Stainforth Foss ---> along the Ribble back to Langcliffe

    The route

A lovely jog out with Harry last night, made all the more 'thrilling' due to Harry rolling (and writhing) in poo (suspiciously like human poo... urgh!). Luckily we only met one lot of (horrified) walkers before I could wash him down in the pool below Catrigg Force. Added to that we had our normal couple of widths across the swimming pool at the Foss before jogging back along the river soaking wet.... and not quite so smelly
