Keep going with the purple one even if you think your asthma is well sorted. If it works use it is all I can say. Chances are if you went back to the brown inhaler you'd probably find that you'll end up back where you started.

Uncontrolled asthma is one of the biggest causes of asthma developing into COPD and you don't be wanting that one (COPD = Chonic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease aka Chonic Lung Disease aka buggered

    Re: Asthma

I certainly owe a lot to you people as it was after reading this thread I realized that I needed a change from the so called asthma treatment, and therefore corrected the problems that were prevalent before, and by the grace of god am more or less okay health wise.

Really James, tell us more pal.

I felt like such a rambling arsehole when I was posting on that thread. I thought people would think I was so self occupied and a bit of a hypocondriac.

Im really glad you have found it of benefit. I was going through a really bad time with it. I hate not running and all the posts and advice really did help.

Let us know what happened with you

    Interesting for all us puffers.

No inhaler for weeks now and going well on bike and feet. Long may it continue.

    Re: Asthma

Hello there, "NotOnUrHelly" well basically after reading this thread I made up my mind to either get rid of this asthma problem completely or to make arrangements so that it does not become a hurdle for me when I prepare to run. I discarded the use of all medicines and took on the yoga classes. I was amazed to see the benefit I got within a couple of weeks. I wont say my asthma has been completely cured but it does not become a major problem now when I am running. Isnt this wonderful?

    Re: Asthma

The article on Simon Booth in the Summer 2007 fellrunner is very inspiring for us puffers, blowers and heavers. Seems that Simon has been plagued with asthma since he was five.

It crops up a number of times in the article, he mentions the reasons he never seems to do well at the three shires is because its towards the end of the season and the pollen is high which usually affects his asthma. I can particularly relate to this as it was half way up Wetherlam that I conked out last year. I was the first back to the pub though

Im hoping to get round this race this year.
