Wilson was 2nd to summit and finished 7th
Hope they've got some good footage of the descending on S4C. Roadrunner has been well clear in recent years but Tim Davies' pursuit and overhauling of Will Levett a few years ago was quite compelling TV.
Well done everyone and hope there were no serious falls.
Well that was an interesting day out. Went as far as the Halfway house and saw the runners go up and came down to Hebron Gate area as they came down . Conditions were grim, not too cold lower down, but raining hard & quite windy . The Kenyan guy was well up at halfway house , could have been there in under 20 mins , but he obviously looked to be struggling a bit on the descent . I did get a quick word with him at the finish and apparently he only set foot on the course today, and only arrived from his flight around midnight last night . He seemed happy enough with 1-11 which was a very good time under the circumstances .
Ian Holmes must have been flying on the descent - I reckon he was only around 20th at half-way up .
Robbie Simpson looked very classy going up and down .
Seemed to be quite a few Italians and Irish this year . Did I see Robin Bryson with a bleeding face and a lot of dirt on him ?
Chemwenko looked in a lot of discomfort as he passed me on the way down. He was second at that point.
Unbelievable day. Loved every second of it. Well thats a lie. I loved it until about the halfway house on the descent when it felt like the base of my left foot was beginning to come away with every step. Fair bit of agony and slowed me down a bit. Apart from that, certainly one I'll be remembering for a long time.
