Maddeningly itchy, sore, a bit feverish, no run today !
No events at moment, just training, been out today just did a steady 5k flattish trail run.
Don't feel any worse or better, but glad to still be running really didn't want to stop unless it was absolutely neccessary
I suppose it could be yet depending on how the shingle develop.
We shall see !
Post Viral Fatigue - think I might give that a miss, HOPEFULLY !!!
How long would you say it took you to recover to the level you were at prior to illness ?
First time just over a month I'd say. This time it's been nearly 3 months since the sores dried up and I'm still not there. Though that may have something to do with the terrible weather and not getting out as much as I would in better weather. As well as picking up a couple of other virus' during that time, probably due to an already hammered immune system fro the shingles and resulting post viral fatigue.

Oh S**t sounds like you have had a pretty rough time, how long between the two episodes ?
Ran again today, about 7 miles, again just steady. The affected area was burning when I got back probably aggravated by perspiration, had a couple of those sharp shooting pains also, but then again I can get all that just sitting on the couch - so what the hell !
I think I am fairly lucky in that my patch is on my left shoulder upper left ribs, and left upper arm, doc reckons the illness lies dormant in vertebrae of spinal column and tracks out along a nerve, which nerve it travels down dictates where the spots/pain will manifest. There are many worse places to get it than where I have.
Spots are starting to dry up in the order they appeared, thank god for calamine lotion.
Funnily enough I feel slightly better after a couple of beers but to be fair I think that could be in the mind.
About 4 years between episodes, though I recommend you take it easy. I know someone who has had it come back 3 times in the last 6 months, all because they don't allow themselves chance for proper rest and recovery.
Each time i've had it, it was on my cheek just under my eye - so not the best place for it.
Beers might also not be the best option considering you're probably taking some form of anti-biotic therapy.
