Longest race I've done to date. I'll make the cut off but there won't be much spare time

    Good luck Nightingale,
I'm hoping to improve on my position from last year.
But it's not looking too promising after I was nearly last at Wasdale.

I have managed to bruise the ball of my left foot. I know this is not dramatic or anything but with Borrowdale looming on Saturday, I would really appreciate any tips to mitigate the pain and keep my PB hopes alive. i have inserted some comfort insoles into my X-Talons and these seeme dto work ok at Cracken Edge last night, but it was still painful and I slowed up a bit. Help!!

About 20degrees from the summit did it for us, in the mist reccying last Sunday. The top of the gully's pretty broad - and from memory starts to drop into the scree shoot proper about 100m or so off the summit. Forecast looks pretty "testing" for saturday eh!! Hope it improves.
