Re: Which coat!
decide it you want full water proof or not, then check the weights (this will leave you with a handfull really)
I personally think the contenders are:
haglofs oz (pullover) paclite goretex
Haglofs LIM (Jacket) paclite goretex
Rab Demand (Pullover) event
OMM (smock & jacket)...new event fabric coming soon
Montane dt & dt stretch (not sure on the fabric, but theres quite a few offerings from Montane).
Marmot super mica (Marmots own fabric)
I hear that Event is the most breathable (but I would think the'll all get sweaty when working hard like running).
The Haglofs stuff isnt cheap, Montane quite well priced & I would think the omm stuff would drop even further after the new stuff comes out this month (petebland is expecting them in end of this month).
hope this helps?
being injured leaves me with lots of time to look at jackets! hahaha

To me its simple if you want a very light jacket that is waterproof there is only 1 decision to make.
The choices are a slightly heavier jacket with a full length zip, or a slightly lighter / cheaper pullover with half zip.
When you have decided based on this it is either the Haglofs Lim Ultimate jacket or the Haglofs Ozo. I have the Oz (last years version of the Ozo) and can’t fault it. Simple and light and keeps out the elements like a much heavier jacket. The zip on the Lim would be a usefull addition though.
