    Anyways... that song was sung by Rudi Carel who moved to Germany and became a German citizen. The Germans invaded Holland in the 2nd world war... the British soldiers liberating us brought:

    I watched 'Winter in Wartime' the other night a Dutch film set in 1945 and one of the characters was called Janneke but in the subtitles they also pronounced it Hanneke ? Are the two letters interchangeable in Dutch pronunciation ?
