Not sure if you will need it as at that stage we will be all bunched up and it just follows the pennine way until you take a short cut before the the first road crossing below black hill.
So just follow the crowd!!

Ok cheers, i'm guessing then the kit check at the start is not to strict with regards to maps then? I was mainly wanting it for when i do some recce's.

Increasingly I've thought how potentially dangerouse it is,

The first road crossing often needs extra help, after that there's nothing really needed until the finishing area. You could help out in Edale!

Nah, at Skyline i dodged it. I'm sorted on the kit check just figured someone might pull me up if i did not have full map.

Yeah i will try and get something. just want to see the route as i've not run over that way before. got out and did edale to top of lady clough last weekend. nice section. prob gona do bleaklow next weekend. Been reading the thread from last year and checking out all the options. sounds like it's gona be fun!! looking forward to it. Cheers for the offer of a copy. will hit you up if i can't find a copy.

I'd like to enter this for first time but have struggling with the logistics (i.e. getting to Marsden and from Edale) on my jack jones. Anyone got any ideas or want to arrange shared transport (I'd be travelling from Leek / Buxton direction and expect to finish mid-pack).

I'm seriously considering this, will enter later in Oct however. If I'm in I'll be travelling from Macc - I imagine I'll be nearer the back than mid packing
