(or know any 'insiders' there?)
I got an invitation to join them on some training runs, after speaking to their trio of runners at the final 'Trunce'.
I've been out with them on 3 occasions now, & they seem a good bunch, with some good runners (one 'clocked' a 1.33:38, & 1025th overall in the 'Great North Run')
I've still not decided whether to join or not, as I do like to run in my Cycling club colours, as it;
1 - causes confusion at local races, as to whether it's a new running club the questioner doesn't know about
2 - annoys some of the local runners that a cyclist can beat them. Sorry!
3 - also annoys a couple of our (more traditional) members:sneaky:
There's also 'Wakefield Harriers', who have far better training facilities, but do seem to be (bar a few members) predominantly a road/track club (with some Javelin/Discus/Shot-Putters members too)

Heck!, at times I've even considered joining;
'Pontefract Athletics Club' (I see two of their girls out some afternoons, when I'm running home after work)

'Rothwell Harriers' (another fairly local club, & I know a couple of members)

'Rodillian Runners' (used to live in a house that backed onto the ground where their club-house is)

Once, I even considered Bingley Harriers, hoping a bit of the Alistair Brownlee/Rob Jebb 'magic' would rub off!!
