    When im driving, im fitter, and the weather is nice again......would you be so kind as to allow me to come across to your neck o't woods for a blast?

    Yes that would be okay. You mean the peak district.

    Sounds good to me.
    Just slightly worried that my lowest gear isnt going to be low enough. But im sure you could shout at me a plenty to drag myself up.

    I like my gears though.

    Even though there is one particular gear that I my favourite for general riding....but my bike dislikes this and makes a horrible noise.

    Took the day off on Monday and enjoyed the pleasant sunny autumnal weather. Managed 82 and took in Waddington Fell. Climb after climb all day..! The pot of tea and treacle tart was needed at Bashall Eaves after 53 miles. Hit a bit of a southerly returning home.

    Out with a mate who plotted all minor roads, which surprisingly enough as the day went it became clear that these were all hilly. Mapmyrun says just under 4500t ascent.

    The climb up Whalley Old Road on the way back out of Billington was a new one for me and went on and on, through York back towards Blackburn.

    Maybe a few more decent days out before the clocks go back.
