just talked to Mathrhosgad about whos doing what,i think we`ll just have to pick straws unless anyone wants to do a particular leg.myself,i`m not too bothered which one i do.
it a same its not on the Saturday though, cos a pint afterwards would be nice but i suppose that some would find it hard to come all the way up on Friday evening.see you tomorrow

    What price Borrowdale?
Will they travel well or do they only perform in their own back yard?

Borrowdale - not a question of them not travelling well, often they just don't travel.

Mercia should have a strong team, and should have won last year! P&B will be strong, but rumoured to be without Hope the Elder & Heneghan, so maybe not their year. Dark Peak at full strength would be hard to stop, particularly with their nav strength. Shettleston?

    I'm going:
    1 - Mercia
    2 - Dark Peak
    3 - Borrowdale
    4 - P&B

I think we are all a bit too close to the action, which is great fun and is a great event, not just to pause for thought. We are flying, and driving the length of the country to run a leg of 35/40 minutes. I still find it remarkable how little real action is being taken across the board, including us fell runners when faced with articles like this. For those of us who run across fields, on the hills , through the woods, of course, we don't need articles like this, we can see the damage done for ourselves. Its all become a bit too normal to see it.

    Anyway. Have a great day.

Aye, you southerners might want to think about some Scottish teams too...
