Phew... well, I hope everyone enjoyed their day.
Our estimates, the result of making measurements from a 1:25k map, were 16.5km & 1000m ascent (10.3 miles and 3283ft in old money). We ran leg 1 but would be very interested to know the distance and ascent
Oh c'mon... Please give Martin a chance to get home from Fife and update the SportIdent siteFull results would be good - any links yet?
I've got a print out of interim results as they stood at about 15:30. Rest assured, once the full results are published I'll add a link here, unless someone gets there first (I'm driving most of the day Monday).
But you might be interested in fastest legs (men):
Leg 1 Jethro Lennox, Tom Owens (Shets) 1:17:46
Leg 2 Jonathan Brownlee (Bingley) 39:25
Leg 3 Rhys Findlay-Robin, Neil Northrop (Mercia) 1:07:26
Leg 4 nick Swinburn (NFR) 38:09
I could look up fastest leg times for the women but this'll require rather more scrutiny of the results and frankly, having partaken of something alcoholic, may not be 100% accurate.Tomorrow then.
Should anyone wonder why the mass start didn't take place at 15:00 as advertised, I didn't see the point in keeping the 20 or Leg 4 cold-looking runners waiting any longer than was strictly necessary. And if the leg 4 runners were looking cold, pity the marshalls up on East Lomond.
Apologies to any teams who wanted/expected to hand over to their last runner and missed out. I hope can you understand why we brought the start time forward a little.
Bill

Tomorrow then.
