    Well Done MG!
think if I ever do a marathon, it'd be something hilly/scenic like Kielder/Snowdonia/Langdale...

    Cheers Daz and DJ.
My garmin measured 4663ft ascent...not sure I believe it, although there were alot of steep incline signs posted along the route!!!

There's been a bit of a conversation on the amount of ascent amongst a few fellow members of NFR. View is that it was nearer about 2750 feet and that things like Garmins can overestimate. Explains why mine shows 100 feet of ascent when I do a few laps of our running track! Still an awful lot for a marathon though

Saw AK, he wimped out due to man flu, but was taking piccies. His wife ran too.
Also ran the last few miles with Phil Green

Seriously though, bloody well done Marra Thon runners:thumbup:
Well said Fosterlegsmerrysteve, these women dont know what manflu is like, but your words sum it up exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even though I was on death bed, I managed to pedal (slowly) around Kielder to snap Missus and MG, it was a marathon struggle.
I will send MG's pics to Pony site as i do not have her e-mail address.
I have to say MG looked fresh as a daisy after the race, my missus was wrecked, slight age difference though, I have pampered her since Sunday!
Some good pics from Kielder at www.kath22.fotopic.net (saw phil green but not MG or missus)
I will be back running soon I hope.....ttfn

MG my missus reckons 1800ft of climb by her garmin
