I was wearing a royal blue jersey...with my bright yellow OMM jucksack. It was still bright daylight and wearing anything brighter I doubt would have made any difference.

I mentioned it to my mum and she said that woman is always on the last minute and speeds through our village to pick her daughter up from dancing.
Yes AL, crazy women picking up there daughters have to be watched. You will get near misses. It comes with riding a bike on the roads

Good riding team. Bl**dy cold this morning as we slogged up the dank, dark valley to Aberdare, really a quite miserable experience! But rewarded with hairpins up the epic Bryn Ddu and Blaenllechau climbs and the utterly brilliant mountain road switchback all the way back to Ponty at over 30mph So 52 miles at about 16 ave and one vvvvvvvv fast descent
    Got my fix now:wink:

Def not having a brooks saddle at £159
Got hold of a Specialized trusty toupe going cheap.

I sat on one of the Brooks ones and I still am not convinced.

I know what you mean I tried one once years ago and it wasn't very comfy, my dad used to use one all the time but he's hasn't done so for years. Mind you now I've got back on the bike any saddles is a right pain in the ar*e...

Well everyone will tell you that a Brooks saddle needs breaking in. Hmmmm I aint forking out that much to find out. I suppose you could bash it for 2 hrs with a mallet and rub some olive oil on it.

Yea I expect that's why it was uncomfortable! A friend of mine who into the 'fixed wheel scene' tells me they're the height of fixed wheeled fashion these days....

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

4 x new cables fitted to my bike tonight after my 8 mile run. A very simple job. All told the cables have done 2 years. Mercian hadn't got no campag outer cable and they gave me shimano. I had to scratch the gold writing off it to hide it.
Campagnolo cable set I think is about 30 odd quid but I always just get campag inner cable and use any outer that they have. They didn't bloody have any last time.

I was quoted 25 quid to change the cables. Yeah righty not

A good afternoon out on the bike.
Over the top of Blackstone edge and round Hollingworth lake.
Stiff coolish wind on the tops.
44k ride with 1050m of ascent. Old Breezey will be pleased with me using metric
