Nice one Phil - shame there was no serious competition there!!
Felt quite quick on the night, so I went for it. Now I'm full of a cough and cold. Got to make the decision tonight about Fairfield. Lloyd might not be running either: His old knee problem has flaired up after Burbage and Crowden.
Another Peak classic
7:30pm 5.75m/1200ft Registration at Fox House Inn
£3 on the day. GR SK267803
Route notes
I'll be doing this...it's nice to see Darth sticking at £3 for the entry fee.
I notice tonights Tigers Todger is £6 - I presume Totley AC are charging extra for this with it being a road race, hopefully they will use the money to buy bottles of Vittel and sponges for the runners to lob around Ecclesall Road South.
Interestingly they have cunningly arranged it to clash with Dark Peaks AGM, I presume this is deliberate so at least they have a hope of getting someone in the top 20
Sorry to hijack...
Burbage, great race, dont forget your pins
'Too much sitting is ruining my body'
don't we supply pins at Burbage ? ;-)

Hope to be along for this. It's a counter in the Holmfirth fell champs so there should be a fair few golden vests along.
Quite fancy this and hope to be there. I'll assume there's nothing too sneaky on it and follow the vests. I love the Burbage valley - I proposed on a cold misty day above Higgar :-)
I'm up for it, great race. Crossing the stream for the first time is great fun, last year one of the leaders crossed it about 20 yards South of everyone else - could be good knowledge that?
Grit Britain Team
The race is all on paths, any non-obvious turns are Marshalled. We have EMR dotted around the course & St John in the Car Park just in case. Please remember that Registration closes at 7.15 pm to give eveyone ample time to jog to the start. Mr Winskill used his local knowledge for the alternative stream crossing spot. I used to call the race the 'No PINs Burbage Skyline' but some idiots either can't read or have a strange sense of humour & kept asking for pins, so I'll bring some on my old rusty nappy pins just in case.
Look forward to seeing you all - we've had damp misty evenings for the race before now, lets hope this year isn't one of them.
Its better to have fought and lost, than not have fought at all.
