Well, I'm still in imperial, which I'm surprised Breezy does not prefer.....so snook out and back to the Bwlch rather than sitting in front of the computer, I am weak you see. 44 miles at 16.6mph ave and one stonking climb and descent with hairpins to die for:thumbup::thumbup:

Went to see Chasing Legends last night in Bradford. Excellent documentary about Mark Cavendish and team at the 2009 TdF. No sign of Breezie, but plenty of fellrunners there

51miles tonight up to mattock on my training route. Quite busy on the roads . Very windy but manageable. A couple of decent climbs on the quest for a place at the altar of lightness. Flat out coming back home and the bright lights of ilkeston charter fair guiding me home.
Taking no risks with 4 x flashing red lights on the rear of my Mercian.

Make sure your all well lit up guys this winter.

On Tuesday, dog training was cancelled so I decided to get the ribble out (as the roads had dried) and go for a late night blast.
The first mile was an absolute dream, I was doing 22mph on a newly laid patch of tarmac and I literally felt like I was out for a walk in the park.
I then made the worse directional decision of my life and chose to head towards Emmi's neck of the woods.
It was hell on earth!!!!! Traffic lights every flammin 100 meters and people driving so badly. I then had an even worse experience by hitting the centre of preston.
It was pure hell...Ive never been so scared of dying on my bike!

Never am I again...cycling through the centre of a city!!!!!!

Give me back my pitch black, totally empty country lanes any day.

Dazington..........can you please recommend me a suitable jersey for riding at night. I dont have any light coloured jerseys and had to wear a slightly too small white t-shirt.

Yes you have just learned that towns and cities are best avoided. Just look at where Emma and ady cycle around there. Years of riding will have found them the best routes
Ask emm and day where to cycle al

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Al I cycle in team jerseys as I believe they are safer. Much brighter than plain tops.
    I use santini jerseys.

If you like team replica kit, I normally have the old school stuff like st Raphael etc try prendas cyclist.
The only reason I have team kit is because it stands out.
You will be a medium in santini mate
