You should have dropped me a line Stolly. I'd have joined you.

Ended up taking kids to pics but then got a short hilly road run in only 40 minute but went very hard probably 7 miles 800ft but fast

Had a wet and windy one on penyolewen and the carneddau before dropping into nant ffrancon and up onto the end of the glyderau and getting as far as y garn along the tops before the wind and rain defeated me. 6000' in 3.5 hours is not a bad return, these welsh hills don't mess about do they? Straight up
    and down!

Glossop Pennine Handicap today about 9.5/10 miles and 3000ft. Steady pace but very tough terrain I won't be riding 50 miles on the bike tomorrow!

Well it's been a while since I posted on this thread. Still injured but given up with it ever being fixed and just putting up with a bit of discomfort. 6 miles and 470 ft.

If I'd known that I might have popped over, Dark peaks club champs are starting out your way this year, No news on the course thouigh as it's kept very hush hush until a couple of days before.

Had did Julian do? hopefully He'll be carring tired legs if he turns up at PC tomorrow.

It was the Pennine Fell Runners Handicap in Glossop organised by George Scott, first one of the series and a real toughie, James Thorn, Yellow Slacks and Torside to climb. Sorry if I confused you IDP wasn't very clear in my last post. I didn't see Julian he's probably resting up for tomorrow.

    Re: Today's Training

After a lazy week (just an hour at gym on Tuesday and 5 miles run on Thursday) thought I'd make up for it this w/e:

Yesterday 6 miles trail run in Calverley area.

Today 13.25 miles/1800ft trail & fell run on Barden Moor, Burnsall, Thorpe, Cracoe & Rylstone Fell on another glorious day

Short run on stanage today, between coats of varnish. From the A57 end, up to the trig, down to the stone circle (via one of those sneaky bogs which look like grass until you step on them) and then back to the A57. 5 miles, 700 feet, bit over 50 minutes. Hopefully the weather's still OK tomorrow so I can get a bigger run in early on.
