A word of warning BL, last time I went on a Saturday they were running low - ask Daleside as by the time she arrived she had a choice of about 4 ales only (or so it seemed).

Thanks for the heads up. What will probably happen is I'll get back from Pendle, lob a duck in the oven to roast and settle down with some Shropshire Lad (the beer not an acquaintance) for the evening.

Jaipur is the best beer in the world - but Saint is nearly as good

I'd agree that Jaipur is superb but there are several similarly brilliant hoppy full bodied beers in the US!

I won a little race at the Christow village show in Devon in 1982 after a modest pub lunch (it was there I'd noticed the race flyer as I paid the bill). Still have the tankard presented by a bloke called Dan Archer (or maybe I fell for a West Country joke).

Back on the Shropshire Lad tonight, so to speak. Almost re-hydrated after Pendle.
