    It held up, but it isn't good for any training, let alone racing

    Thinking about going private, which is VERY expensive, but I only have two knees... and at this rate, I can't ride a bike or run for that matter...

    mate i reckon if you can possibly afford it - theres nowt more worth investing in than your body - especially when you want to use it like you do!

    Yes... true! And especially after the friend who just had an arthoscopy on the nhs and it went wrong...

    But it is mega mega bucks, means several years worth of savings and no holidays for the foreseeable future :-O

    Will do... have been commissioned by two mags so will have my writer's cap on. Weather looking good at the moment so fingers crossed... some white stuff on the top would be good.

    It is the same people who do NHS and private operations and do similar jobs in both cases. Perhaps you get better 'hotel' accommodation when a private patient. If I was you, I would not throw money away going private. I had an NHS arthroscopy, which was subcontracted to a private hospital (as many are) and the result has been first class.

    Yannis, did you have any control over where you were sent for it? Apparently there is a nHUGE dfference between treatments and succesrate...
