    Re: Todays Injuries

Decided to hit my leg with an iron mallet this afternoon unintentionally - within seconds I had an extra large egg shaped lump sticking out - rushed to the freezer for the bag of frozen peas and it went down quickly and I've been out walking for half an hour no problem - yet!!?

That's a cruel thing to do to a dog just because you have a bad back

My dog would eat the mallet before i chance to wield it, she's already ate half the kitchen and most of the bathroom and is eyeing up the garden shed and decking for her next course:w00t:

First injury in nearly four years of fell running... but it's not a baddie!

Blister on my left heel the size of a poker chip after the Wrekin Wrecker. I knew my Mudclaws weren't perfect, and I know (I think) how to solve that now, but is there any way I can speed getting running again? It's full of fluid and got a compeed on it at the mo...

I just burst mine and get some surgical spirit on them, hurts like hell but hardens the skin up quickly, works for me.

Ditto, it's probably not recommended by somebody or other but it works for me too

It says on the surgical spirit do not apply on broken skin, but that didn't bother my old seargant, i did as i was told and it worked, been using it ever since.
Saw him last year on Whernside when i was doing the Fellsman, told me he'd buy me a pint of surgical spirit if i finished, cracking bloke
