mate i reckon if you can possibly afford it - theres nowt more worth investing in than your body - especially when you want to use it like you do!
Planning on attempting this with some mates on Saturday.... anyone done it and have any tips or advice?

It is the same people who do NHS and private operations and do similar jobs in both cases. Perhaps you get better 'hotel' accommodation when a private patient. If I was you, I would not throw money away going private. I had an NHS arthroscopy, which was subcontracted to a private hospital (as many are) and the result has been first class.
