What did I say? Last week I bought some of the wonderful somewhat cloudy Tesco's Finest Alcoholic Ginger beer. Yesterday I bought another batch and guess what - absolutely clear without a hint of a haze!!?? The taste has changed and to me it seems a fair bit thinner. I would guess that Tesco have been back to the brewer and said clean up your act, our customers don't like cloudy beer!

Pleasantly surprised to see was a real ale bar at the darts Grand Slam on Friday so a good few were sampled, including Jennings Cumberland Ale.

Just cracking the Coniston Bluebird, all Challenger hops and very quaffable. 5 gallons of Imperial Stout bubbling away and headed for bottle conditioning for several months (assuming I don't sup it all at Christmas).

Had some Rooster's Yankee, an APA, in the Land of Green Ginger, for the first time. It's a great hoppy pint.

I noticed they had Bateman's "Rosey Nosey" on offer at Morrisons today so I picked up a few bottles. They will go well with the mince pies
