2 and a half hours running / ice skating / falling over on Friday afternoon.
The Adidas Kanadia is not the ideal shoe for ice running.

Rob, I must have seen you ! Saw at least 6 runners out during my splash around Ilkley Moor. 3 on the short(ish) section from Bingley Moor across towards the 12 Aostles.
I saw a lady runner struggling in the ice and clinging desperately onto the wall of the canal viaduct just outside Marple on Friday afternoon.
I chuckled ( only briefly ) and thought "Right love I'll show you how its done" I then proceeded to cross the viaduct clinging desperately onto the wall and ended up flat on my a**e.
The first of 6 falls that day.
If you saw 3 runners on that section and the first was a guy wearing a red cap (with two ladies behind that weren't with me, just following), that was me. I said morning to someone along there so that might just have been you. I was running from 12 apostles toward the cairn before you get to the wireless station.
Yes, I do believe that was you. I thought they were chasing you.
I think they were too

First run for 2 weeks so I wasn't expecting miracles.
A shocking performance yesterday, I had to walk up some of the hills!!!
about 5.86 miles 1090ft in 44+ minutes!! 6 minutes over my PB of 38.32
felt terrible. I need to get a few looseners in I think.
7.7 miles and truely stupendous 668.7 feet ascent! I'll never make a fellrunner! ..or is that fell-runner, or fell runner??? :w00t:
5.5 miles with about 300ft this morning....the bliss of a changed timetable
Planning a fastish 17 mile road run tonight. Interested to see if running mainly in the hills has blunted my road speed, or what road speed I had.
