I know this might seem like a daft question, but does any one know what to look out for at 'Greenside' the OS map doesn't indicate anything that stick out as anything meaning Greenside. I can find Greenside road but that covers a large area.

I'm also a little worried about find footbridges

NickBrit you live in Stockport, do you fancy buddying up on transport

Gellmeister, The Greenside Road takes you west to Helvellyn Youth Hostel and then a bunkhouse, above which is the disused Greenside Mine. The grid ref indicates the checkpoint is close to the hostel.

The Stanah footbridge is by the fell wall and bridges the stream that has been on your right for the last section of the descent from Sticks Pass. I can't remember the Dunmail footbridge though!

yes- great race. I turned round at greenside as i was all over the place on the descents. bit disappointing, but still a grand day out. Thanks to joe and the team for putting the event on. Be nice to see more races/runs like this through winter!
