So, after all the eating and drinking my thoughts turn to 2011's race and I find.......it's full!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why, oh why, oh why, are the entries open so early, only for a few dozen places to go wanting on the actual day of the race?
50% criticism, 50% sour grapes. Have just set a calendar reminder for this December 1st to send an entry off for next year!
Now, what about Tanky's?
Being a bit early about Tankys!! even though traditionally it gets over subscribed as well. Not sure about Tankys this year as the RO Clair got a lot of grief from the water companies about access rights. It takes something from the race if the opportunity for route choices is taken away.
The sixteen mile Kinder Trog from Hayfield in the summer is another nice long local race.
Could really do with a long race around late March time so does anyone know of any LDWA events around the same time as the Skyline ?
Can't seem to get on the LDWA website at work
Sat 19 Mar Four Passes (in Lake District). There's a thread for this on here. I fancy it although it's a week after Howarth Hobble / Wuthering Hike
Sun 20 Mar Two Crosses (in Lancashire). Think this has been discussed on here before
Sun 3 April Blubberhouses 25 (Harrogate/Ilkley area of Yorkshire). There's a thread on here. I've done this and it's a good one
