I was supposed to have gone for a two hour ride this afternoon... But my friend decided otherwise and didn't even bring his bike :w00t: So it was a walk and a spot of cross training in stead... Let's just hope it won't rain tomorrow, so I can go out then...

And referee training is dangerous, 'He goes out training as a referee, runs backwards down the road, he's been run over twice'
This vid gets funnier every time you watch it:thumbup:

They're roaring along on those bikes too, just goes to show it's all in the legs. I bet half of them smoked fags too!

76 miles in that dam wind. Hard work indeed. I cycled up to monsal head and back the long way. Nice 3 mile section that they have planed towards bas low which was just like riding on cobbles. Past quite a few road men going up the a6. Saw two lovely ladies on cervelo bikes, very nice indeed.
Very very windy and at times the bike was being blown sideways. Stopped for a can of coke half way but otherwise no food.
Felt okay apart from going up drum hill and the cat and fiddle windmill hill near the end.

Bike totally caked in grime at the finish. I did get some of those cruddy racer mudguards. I left them in the box. A bit of water up your back toughens you up.

Had erasure on my I phone for the hard bits.
Andy bell , it's not the way you lead me by the hand into the bedroom. Oh a oh , oh a oh. Get in.
Needed a bit of prodigy towards the end though.

Hann a very famous Dutchman passed away on Friday. Peter post. One of the best six day riders ever. He also won Paris/roubaix.
Was director sp at the famous raliegh team in the late eighties. Zootelemek, ras, miller etc. Toffer will rememeber them.

A hard taskmaster who put Raleigh on the map of professional bike racing.
He was a tight bastard though. But one of the best
