    I actually found it got better after the climb up Great Gable TB - the terrain got a 'bit' better! The last climb up Dalehead is quite nice really! good underfoot - no bogs and bolder hoping

    and yes.......I'll be the slowcoach whinging at the back!!!

    After a an appallingly poor attempt at Langdale I'll be giving the recce a miss, seems I need to get fit.

    The recce won't be fast Graeme - I'm more than sure you'll be able to keep up with ME!!

    If I can haul myself round 17 miles - you'll be fine, honest!

    This looks like a fun event eh? I could well be tempted to pop along on June 23rd. Presume the finer details will be discussed nearer the time?

    Would do J but my tent is far too huge to pitch for one night

    That and I think I need a good night's sleep before getting round this route again
