It absolutely hammered down last night, and it's still raining now. Windy, as well. Once I get my car back from the garage I'll have a mosey on up there, see what it's like on the top. Just for a laugh.

It's always wet between the Ilkely Moor Trig point and Whetstone Gate in the middle of summer, so should be very interesting tomorrow; sorry I can't do it, but I'm sure the Mickleden Straddle will be similarly boggy.

BBC weather for Leeds/Ilkley has it banging it down until 9, then clearing up with a 15mph wind from West.
Can add at least 5-10mph for height, so it could be a tad breezy from Baildon moor summit up to Ilkley moor and then across the top to Buck Stones.

Hopefully though, the BBC are right and it won't be pi$$ing it down. Wind+Rain+Ilkley Moor could be a bit depressing after about 12miles.

We did our track session at Beckett's Park last night - I ran the fastest I've run for 400m reps! It was only slightly wet and windy.

Well, went for a look up at the bit from Lanshaw lad to the aerials. To be honest, the worst bit for me was the wind which is pretty much head on and very strong. That's supposed to be dropping off a bit though so it mightn't be too bad tomorrow.
Underfoot, it's boggy. And wet. Not as bad as I thought it might be mind! I went in up to about my knees about four/five times between the aerials and the trig point, on the direct path between the two. I suspect there may be some deeper bits but luckily I didn't sink into the mire and I'm a big fat plodder so racing snakes should be fine!

I'm sure tomorrow will dawn bright but cool with just a slight breeze, and be fine and sunny all day...

You're probably not far wrong, plodding bear. The BBC forecast is looking quite promising. It's going to be a sheltered area while further west gets dumped on. Sun cream and shades at the ready, everyone.

Looks like there will be plenty of water on the ground from that forecast, could be bad across Ilkley moor section. First time doing this so hoping the visibilty is reasonably good

Dog and I went up to Keighley Gate to watch people come through. Very wet and boggy, some extremely muddy faces.
    Well done all
