    First time entry for me on this one.

    Found this map on MapMyRun of the route.
    http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/2139280
    It was created on 31st March 2008.

    Has the route changed since or can I still use this to do a 'virtual recce'?
    Thnx

    It dosn't look like the route from last year - I think 2009, 10 and now 11 will be the same, so if it was the 2008 route its not right

    saz is right. That's the route from 2008. Doesn't the more recent one go over Theiveley Pike?

    Yep. The 2008 route doesn't really bare any relation to 2010 and 2011.
    The grid refs for this year's route are here;

    Basically it goes the most obvious way between them, although last year there was a bit of variation in route choice, I don't think anyone gained a huge advantage.

    Although Britnik's sneaky short cut from the off is worth taking, esp if you want ot lead the race for a while

    Thanks. Plotted the checkpoints onto the map and it became obvious the mapmyrun route was out of date.

    In my experience it's the most runnable Calderdale route. I'm glad they kept it for a third year.

    And it's got a downhill run to the finish, Steve. That never happened before either!
